PG ARES is a field service organization of the Amateur Radio Relay League (ARRL). Membership requires include a valid FCC amateur radio license as well as a willingness to participate. Our main function is to serve the community with our Amateur Radio hobby in times of need.

To be an ARES Member:

  1. Download and complete the membership application at this link.
  2. Participate in our weekly on-air nets, Tuesdays at 7:30 PM ET.
  3. Attend the monthly meetings, held on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 PM ET.
  4. Complete the FEMA Online following courses:
    1. IS-100.C: Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS 100)
    2. IS-200.C: Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response (ICS-200)
    3. IS-700.B: An Introduction to the National Incident Management System
    4. IS-800.D: National Response Framework, an Introduction
  5. Send your course completion certificates and membership forms to kb3sph [at] arrl.net
